Synopsis

The Accelerator Physics Group carries out theoretical and experimental research in the dynamics of particle beams and applies this knowledge to the design of new accelerators or the performance improvement of the existing ones. It is in charge of the LHC, LEP and SPS beam dynamics and performance and contributes to the CLIC studies. In addition to Staff Members, the group hosts Fellows, Scientific Associates,Doctoral and Technical students, Visiting Professors , and short termVisitors usually belonging to a group of stable Collaborators.
