BBC: Program for Beam-Beam Interaction with Crossing Angle
by Kohji Hirata
Description
BBC is a FORTRAN code for simulation of the weak-strong
beam-beam interaction. The beam-beam interaction is treated in a symplectic (in
6D sense) and accurate way including crossing angle effects. The code can be used both for
electron and proton rings with linear one-turn map for the arc.
The User's Guide is available (K. Hirata, CERN SL Note 97-57 AP):
To obtain and compile the program
A tarred and gzipped file of the code (version 3.4.1) can be downloaded by clicking
here. Simply unpack the archive with
gunzip -c bbc.tar.gz | tar -xvf -
This will create a directory bbc containing the Fortran source file
bbc3.4.f and example input and output files.
